We seem to be getting a large number of failures due to moisture in the tube after placing it in the ori-nasal facepiece.
Has anybody got any suggestions to eliminate this problem?

The respirators are full-face and it's not just one type.

Tony,

They are stored in plastic bags in our fit test area until required.
The room is dry ao there's no issues with moisture in them. The problem appears to be positioning the tube in the ori-nasal cup.

John,
The only thing that I can suggest is to store the respirator in one of the storage boxes that are supplied by Arco. We have approx 18 users who all have their own box. I think they cost about £10. It maybe worthwhile trying one to see if this cures the problem.

Thanks Tony,

We've been experimenting today and are exploring fitting a bostok (sp) ball. May also try changing the tube every couple of fits.

We've eliminated storage as an issue and the problem occurs on both machines. We did recently change the positioning of the tube following recommendations from our trainer and respirator manufacturers and this seems to be the route cause.
