Can anyone provide advice on where the best place is for the above please? Also, do these allow for exemptions? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I think Strathclyde Uni do these courses. I'll be interested too in the replies as I am thinking of furthering my qualifications. I seem to remember a couple of years ago, although I cannot remember which Uni it was, but if you had the NEBOSH Diploma I think you were exempt from a lot of the course and only needed to do a project and 10,000 word dissertation. Think it was Bath but unsure and I checked their web and couldn't find pure H&S. May be wrong though. Regards SW

Learoyd45361, The route you choose may well be dictated by your existing qualifications. As these determine your eligibility. What you deem to be "distance learning" can also dictate the options that exist - some courses will be in the main distance learning, but require some attendance at university say a 1 day then 2 x 2 days spread over 12 - 18 months. From my own experience I was able to complete the MSc at Loughborough based on the fact that I had a recognised diploma, and therefore entered the "final year". I attended the short university sessions but the rest of the award was down to me at home using local university library etc and online library resources. There are a few universities that provide 100% distance learning, Strathclyde being one - you will find via a search of the forum pages many comments in support of these courses - all say the same - hard work is to be expected! Without a diploma or BSc it would be unusual (although not impossible) to go straight into an MSc course - as Dave has suggested you can be asked to start with post graduate certificate and work up from there. Cost will be a big part of this too - some routes will cost lots of money, whilst others may well be more cost effective. There are plenty options out there, good luck in whatever route you choose Stuart

im currently doing my Bsc Safety Health and Enviro Management degree at Leeds Met, really good course, well structured and delivered. I was lucky enough to be accepted with my NEBOSH Gen Cert, attendance is required, although it is just one day a week full time, so not such a burden. currently looking for a Msc in Ergonomics if anyone has any ideas i would be greateful Regards Andy
