yes you read the title correctly!
I recently received the CV of a potential contractor as part of a pre-tender qualification exercise. The CV quoted as part of the individuals qualifications NEBOSH Diploma 1. Do folks reckon this would be referring to the first half of the NEBOSH Diploma that was around circa 2000 ~ 2005, split into two main parts (errrmmmm "part 1" and "part 2").
Yes I know I can seek clarification from the company.

Think NEBOSH stopped students enrolling in the old style 2 part diploma around 2006, thus taking into account the 3 year completion period, the final examination periods were somewhat around December 2009.
So my guess would be the same as yours!

As with other posters, I suspect that this refers to the old Part 1 Diploma. I have this (too close to retirement to look further) but did the following advice from NEBOSH as to the status of a Part 1 Diploma:
QUOTE
It is with regret that I must inform you that the Diploma Part 1 is not a full qualification, therefore, this does not equate to any level of qualification, and neither does it provide candidates with any exemption towards the new specification of the National Diploma.
Unfortunately, students who are on the old specification of the Diploma (Part 1 and Part 2), that have not completed the course, must now enroll and register with a Course Provider for the National Diploma on the new specification (2006).

Thanks guys just as I suspected. More worryingly with some of the others was the use of NEBOSH as a post nominal! I felt it was my duty to educate them in my constructive feedback :)
