Your local 'Relate' office should be able to help NB: 'Relate' do far more than marriage counselling!

The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy website has a search facility of accredited counsellors. You can search for 'specialisms' (eg Post Traumatic Stress) and 'Type of Approach' (eg CBT).

Good counselling services are registered with
a. The Health Professionals Council - as counselling and/or occupational psychologists
b. The Occupational Safety & Health Consultants Register - those who are specifically qualified in counselling as well as in one or more other disciplines

Though this response does not answer AnthonyH's request, it's pertinent to suggest that those interested in this topic might also benefit from looking at the topic entitled Defusing post incident stress started on this forum by cliveg on 30th August this year. It contained some good responses, including opinions about whether or not counselling was always appropriate/necessary for employees and others who have experienced traumatic circumstances.
p.s. I don't often use the forum search facility but did so before composing this response in order to ascertain the precise subject title of the topic back in August. Perhaps I'm using it incorrectly, but it's annoying that after looking at a topic chosen from the search results listing, the system doesn't allow users to go back to the results listing. It goes back to the start search page and apparently requires a repeat search in order to re-create the results listing page.
