Hello Everybody! I am about to move back into the world of height safety after a short absence, when i have been working in a school as H&S person, not the easiest role when dealing with Teachers. Not much of a technical question really, more informative, but are there any major changes or news that i should be aware of? Any references would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Matt

Hello Matt, Presumably you were working in high risk industries since the introduction of WAH regs 2005, same onerous duties. Arguably more emphasis on ladders being tied with eye bolts, use of harnesses, lanyards and Karibiners (have I spelt that right?). CDM amended 2007, but still overly prescriptive and clients still do their best to avoid their duties. SWMP introduced 2008 and some other stuff but guess you will have picked up on most of these changes. Good luck. Ray
