Time and again I read articles where a company has gone into liquidation following a serious accident. Is it not time to legislate to prevent this amoral practice and where liquidation does occur naturally to prosecute individual directors?

I just read this, agree about the liquidation part but strange the HSE did not pick up on the non use of a harness.
Looking at the picture a harness worn by the operator who died could have saved his life?

Agreed, presumably the operative was not using harness but it was part of the prosecution evidence, which for some reason was not included in the article. A good reminder why they should be worn when working from cherry pickers.
Meanwhile my thread was about voluntary liquidation...

This is standard practice usually done to evade tax and social security related payments and successive governments and other authorities know all about it and have done very very little to manage the area
