You dont legally have to display anything for such equipment. Those small stickers you see eveywhere are actually stickers which are for use on the packaging of hazardous substances under the CHIP Regs. The only time you would need to have a vehicle placarded (with the DGSA regs) is if you are over the threshold for that particular substance. Having said that it doesnt do any harm to have such a warning sticker in place - but its only good practice - not a legal requirement, and you can't be fined for not having one.

Thanks Chris I was told yesterday that they could fine you £300 for each van stopped and found not to be displaying However if its good practice I will place the signs on our vans anyway

Definately don't need a sign for small quantities. No possibility of a fine at all. If you do feel the need for a sign - don't forget to remove it when you don't have any gas on board!
