I'm hoping someone can help with this one as I've been asked to review a Company Working at Height Policy and Rescue Plan. Whilst the document is comprehensive and refers to trauma and injury suffered by persons using fall suspension equipment, it doesn't have an example of a "Rescue Plan". I have never written one personally as the need has not arisen and as I'm going to have to provide one I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or experience of writing one that I need to take into account. If you go onto the Construction Plant Association (CPA) web site in the Specialist interests group go to Tower Cranes.

There are loads of free downloads that will assist.

Hi KJ

What most people forget about rescue plans is how to get the person down, must people think that rescue plan is covered by the person wearing a safety harness. They are not as the person is now dangling in mid air, thats when people reliase that the rescue plan is flawed. You need to look at rope rescue or a cherry picker etc to get them down taking into account that the rescue team must be trained and cable of that task.
