Are electical apprentices required to carry a CSCS card or are they somehow exempt?

If they are required to go on a construction site they will need a basis operatives card

Correct.

Please, Please , Please always get the relevant trainee cards for new starts (any age, who does not have site experiance and qualifications) the CSCS Green Operative card is only for Labourers and non-skilled site workers. I deal with this everyday, hence the plee.

I agree with Michele, the number of workers and management that carry incorrect cards for their work activities is a challenging task to manage.

Only where the Client and the Main/Principal Contractor agree to operate such a scheme. This is not mandatory.
