After finding the SHP App in the itunes store I was initially a little annoyed as there was only one edition available, but after checking again yesterday there is now the entire years worth. Well done. When I downloaded the app it indicated that I would have to download the SHP from itunes. I was hoping that this would be free being a paid up member of IOSH and that there would be some way around this. But so far no fees involved for the entire year of issues. Hopefully there will be no charges down the line. Overall they download very quickly and a very usable.

I am not anti technology by my mobile phone is exactly that - a phone. It's pay as you go and old as the hills but still works (and you can pick up batteries at car boot sales). It's stuffed in my man bag and only used for emergencies - mostly my missus calls me to pick up this, that and everything else she has forgotten to buy at the shops. Rich

I have a few myself based on what I do: Chemalert, Chemical Safety Data Sheets NIOSH chemical hazard book Emergency Responder Guide (ERG 2008) Hazard Manager Safety Symbols as well as the standard job search apps, of course. There is also a series of toolbox talks at a price but haven't looked at them, so can't comment.

yeah - but that's why you have a tablet!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have any H&S apps (oh yeah I have a sound meter) as I keep work and play separate(ish). My work phone runs on diesel and have a binder cord handle :) (it is easy to use for phone calls tho, but who does that anymore?)

Another great App for IPad is EHSQ, great tool for creating bespoke audits for safety, quality & Environmental. It cost a little more than your average App but well worth it
