Doubtful. Professor Lofstedt explicitly mentioned in his report that HASWA fell outside of his remit, so it was not considered.

It's one of six (I think) Private Member's Bills laid by C Chope who obviously thought that Lord Young had done his research properly.

As is suggested Mr Chope certainly thinks there is a lot of law on all sorts of subjects that needs changing.

Apparently the bills from Mr Chope are his contribution to cutting red tape by making more law!
