8.Christmas lights needing electrical (portable appliance testing) PAT tests every year whats your thought's on this statement.

If they're for a tree on the top of the scaffolding on a building site, then probably. If they're for a tree in the corner of an office then no. But you'll need to remember to have them tested when next you do the PAT for your office. Maybe do it at Christmas for a treat...

All well and good, but the dodgy 240v single-insulated cast-off brought in to the workplace by an employee needs to be put in the bin. Get a nice low voltage set and you've no worries at all.

I do a visual inspection on mine every time I put them on the tree. Common sense really and didn't actually realise I did it until I read this post. I have two sets on my tree this year and absolutely hate putting them up. Bah Humbug!
