We have identified a need for a Lone Worker/Man Down Alarm system for a couple of members of staff.
Has anybody got any experience of such system or what I should or shouldn't be looking for??

Can you expand a bit is this site based or remote?
There are a few systems on the market...but you may only need something as simple as using their mobile phone for tracking..

There are occasions when we are working on other sites at weekends and we have to return to our workshop to fabricate/weld and I have a concern owing to the nature of the equipment. It is mostly one person who returns with the others being on site.

Try Skyguard.
They have a range of products, some of which work with a mobile phone, starting at £4 per month or if you want a portable device that can be used by more than one person, this starts at £6 per month.

Connexion2 offer a range of lone worker devices including one called solo protect with ability to detect a man down. Relatively cost effective too.
