Hi can anyone tell me if the HSE's cost recovery scheme has developed any further? I had read the HSE were making an amendment to the H&S (Fees) Regs which would allow them to recoup costs from April 2012*. I also had the date of April 2012 in my head for the 7day Riddor changes as well as cost recovery changes? Is this so? Regards, RB *http://www.hse.gov.uk/press/2011/hse-costrecovery.htm

See pages 6 and 7 of SHP January issue. Yes the cost recovery scheme is going ahead from april and the hourly rate has been dropped slightly. There is also a Challenge panel being set up that can overturn the decisions of health and safety inspectors. There are said to be no plans for local authorities to do go the same cost recovery route. http://content.yudu.com/...0913%26fid%3D1%26fav%3D1 not sure if that link will work...
