Can anyone help?

We have various vertical ladders that need to be inspected, not sure what needs to be included and what safety measure are required. Is there any guidance on this?

the BS is BS 4211:2005,

They require that ladders should only be considered where a risk assessment has shown that the use of other more suitable work equipment is not appropriate because of the low risk

Surely more suitable equipment is always appropropriate?
