We are an FM provider in a PFI built establishment, during high winds wall section collapsed, no personal injury but reportable as dangerous occur, my question is who reports this, the FM contractor, the SPC or the council? We are being asked by the SPC to report it, but I have my doubts? Any thoughts and reference material or subject matter would be appreciated.

Wall of building presumably (Reportable DO) as opposed to boundary wall (not Reportable)? Logic suggests report by those with immediate responsibility to ensure things are put right -usually the FM provider?

I still dont see how its the FM provider responsibilty, as the FM provider function is to provide the day to day operation/ maintenance repairers for building, surely not expected to be responsible for structural defects in the building from construction. The SPC were the company involved during construction not the FM provider??

The answer should be in the contract documents; have you looked?
