I have plenty of sheets with exposure levels on it work rates, volumes etc.... but does anyone have a spreadsheet or similar Carbon Monoxide exposure calculator? Thanks in anticipation...

I'm not clear what you are wanting, Steve. I have a spreadsheet that can calculate the concentration of gases in the air in a room from either sudden releases or steady state releases. If this is what you are after, then send me a PM. Jane

Thanks Jane. I have a gas bottle release sheet, however I have several charts and books on the calculation of carboxyhaemoglobin levels in blood using a Coburn-forster-kane calculation at various work rates. Was wondering if any kind soul has a sheet with the calculations in it...otherwise...

Are you looking at the release of CO from a cylinder into a workspace? You could always assume worst case of the release of entire contents, taking into account room volume and ventilation rates. Are you using the CFK equation or the revised CFK taking into account alveolar ventilation rates and lung diffusing capacity?

Hi Steve, We had a lecture on Hypoxic atmospheres at the IOSH London Met Branch in Feb last year and Mark Cooper, the speaker from JRC Associates referred to the Brookhaven methodology for CO calculation. I can give you his contact details if that would be helpful?
