I've just lost yet another long post.

Such are the perils of heat-of-the-moment postings. Better to compose off-line and cut&paste.

Hi Frank. I think we have all been there. The difficulty is, of course, that you don't know you have been logged out until you press the button to post your comment and then get that message. I have adopted the habit of copying my post by simply using the select text/right click/copy method before I push that 'post' button. That way if you get that annoying message 'access denied' you can simply log in again and right click/paste your post. Not perfect but it works for me and much easier and quicker than using word etc. p48

If I have a long post to make I type it in Word, then copy and paste to the forum message box. Chris

It seems to be holding open the session now. I went out this morning leaving a reply box open in a FAW/FR thread I started and I was still logged in on my return. Maybe something to do with stored cookies

Frank, most likely not, there is definitely a time based auto-log out if no action is detected. (typing a response doesn't seem to count as action) However, what happens to me is that the page freezes in my browser and it looks as though you are still logged in. Then when you try to do something that requires you to be logged in then you find you are not logged in after all! p48

I find Wordpad quicker than Word. Computer/Accessories/Wordpad then just Ctrl C - Ctrl V. As Alexei would say "Seemple"

If the message is lost, (often as the result of a phone call), try the back arrow on your browser, which should still have your original message box entry, and copy the text for pasting again. It has worked for me.
