Hello, Have any forum members had any dealings with lifting equipment testing? Our test weights are produced in house. Is there a uk standard or regulation which covers the design or construction of said weights.

An informal chat with your Local Authority Weights and Measures Inspector (usually part of the Trading Standards Section) might help. They could also advise on the calibration of the weights and scales you've already got. Although I'm not aware of any strict application in your context, you could (for a fee) obtain the comfort that what your doing has some traceability back to UKAS (used to be NAMAS) standards?
