Dear all I wondered if anybody used this group and whether you had any opinions on their value or service? I have a friend who is considering a service of this type but has no experience of any and hence is a bit stuck on who to go to. Many thanks in advance

While it depends on the complexity of the problem, there is often a lot to be said for consulting an experienced HR practitioner, who is a chartered member of the CiPD, rather than simply specialists in employment law. Two reasons: a. the problem is not likely to be simply legal - and sorting out the 'human' and other reasons behind it throws a lot of light on its nature (think of 'phone hacking' in the NoW: a legal problem entangled in a host of commercial and human relations problems) b. the solutions may well include options well beyond those possible through litigation.
