Have a member of staff who currently wears a hearing aid, he has been informed by his doctor that he would benefit from an industrial hearing aid and that the company can apply for a government grant to cover the cost. Does anyone have any information as to this is the case and where or who to apply to for the grant. Need help with this one

As a partial deafie dependent on two hearing aids I can readily confirm that the government scheme is 'Access to Work'. Have a look at http://www.direct.gov.uk...AndProgrammes/DG_4000347
My experience of using the scheme in 2004 was very positive as regards being referred to a hearing aid specialist and being prescribed high quality digital hearing aids. The government apparently paid a significant proportion of the cost, another portion was paid by my employer and I thought it appropriate to make a contribution considering that I also benefited from having the hearing aids when not at work. As the scheme may have changed in some respects since 2004, it's best to check for the latest information about it.
