Hi all,
I have been informed I have to write a presentation on 'CDM' - "as to how to maintain consistency across the CDM Services from a dispersed Team"?
Has anyone any data or can anyone point me in the direction of information regarding this subject and where one should start on CDM?
thanks.

Hi
The HSE have a Power Point presentation on each area of the CDM Regs (it is on their site). As a CDMC I am often asked to produce and give CDM presentations.
The first thing I look at is which CDM Duty Holder I am presenting it to and focus it accordingly e.g. from a Designers perspective. I give an overview of subject and then use examples applicable to them. I also drop in information about what can happen if they don't carry out their role e.g. prosecution
Do you have a CDM system showing all the stages for each project as this will be of benefit?
I hope this of some use and hopefully I not stating the obvious

Irrespective of the subject matter, where you have a dispersed Team, you need coherent standards, systems and processes that all parties can access, along with relevant communications protocols. Web-enabled processes are often the answer where there are such dispersed functions.
Some Organisations roll all of that together into IPM process maps or Q-Maps for Project Management.
The above achieves consistency in instruction. Over and above that you need sufficient resources to enable a monitor and audit function to ensure everyone complies!
In essence, you are applying HSG65 "POPIMAR"/ ISO 18001 plan/do/check/act principles - in this instance to Construction Project Management and CDM compliance.
