Does any know whether the use of jubilee clips are allowed to be used on pipework (flexible hosing with pressuired gas).
I have seen a mixture of "O" rings and jubilee clips used but have been told jubilee clips are not best practice.
I have looked on suppliers websites and they seen to sell both types which would suggest that both are used.
I have alos looked on the pressure systems guidance etc and can't find anything that prevents the use of jubilee clips.

I don't know for gas but for low pressure pnuematic/hydraulic hoses it would depend on the hose being used and the nature of the fittings. In some cases a worm drive clip would do more harm than good because the fittings are barbed and and crushing the hose wall against the barbs would cut into it.

HSE guidance for welding equipment is not to use jubilee clips (worm drive clips) but to use crimped instead. Not sure why so many are sold with jubilee clips either. One of those oddities.

One of those oddities. That's probably because you can't tamper with a crimp and it can't work itself loose. As unlikely as it sounds, worm drive clips can work themselves loose.

All valid points re worm drive, but in my experience the worm drive is not flexible enough on small diameter hoses. Typical gas and air lines therefore the hose gets pinched up under the worm and leaks.
Hence crimps as even pressure is applied due to the flexible nature of the crimp band.

HSG 139 refers. (As do various BCGA guides). Worm-drive clips a no-no.

You misread - I don't understand why so many are sold with jubilee clips when the standard is for crimped.
