I am trying to get my hands on a couple of research documents: - Sommerich (2002) Effects of notebook computer configuration and task on user biomechanics, productivity, and comfort - Lindblad et Al (2004) The effect of using a laptopstation compared to using a standard laptop PC on the cervical spine torque, perceived strain and productivity Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get hold of these without it costing me a fortune? I have tried the Croner subscription and local library.

A registered member of the Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors who has access to a university library is likely to be able to access the material much more quickly than through the public library system, without costing anyone 'a fortune'.

I agree with Kate, most libraries can hold of most documents via an inter-library loan service. There is some legislation that means the British Library has to be sent a copy of every book and newspaper (and probably a few other things, my memory isn't too good!) that is published in the UK, so it should have a copy of what you're after.
