Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good professional CV writer in the South Staffordshire area. I need to update mine as at the moment it is Quality Assurance geared.
I have 5 years experience within Health and Safety, and would like some help in re-writing my CV to show my Health and Safety Skills and experience. Then hopefully move into this roll on a full time basis.

Sam
Send me an email to wjohnston19@aol.com and I will send you my CV which was professionally prepared and you just substitute your details for mine!
Save you the cost.

I never really figured out the need for professional CVs for most situations? There are a lot of good free templates on the interweb that help you get your message across clearly and and in a clear way. I'd sometimes wonder if they quality of my CV was so professional I'd not be able to meet it's presentation quality in the working world. But then maybe that's why I'm so badly paid in my current job :)

johnty has made you an offer, take it up and don't forget to say thank you. There is nothing about being ethical about it, this just a favour from one person to another (unless there are some sort of copy right on the original documents which would be most unfortunate for the person they were prepared for). I myself disagree with professional CVs as they don't really show the person, I believe that some understanding can be picked out of a CV about the person they relate to and are genuine reflections of the person to whom they relate, but that's just me and I have been involved in recruiting many people over the years but not always with success as a Cv is only a description of the person not a sound recommendation.

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your comment. I have taken Johnty up on his offer and I have said Thank you via an email.
To be totally honest I do agree with you on the CV. I currently have a good CV but it is aimed more for Quality Assurance as this is what I do for my Job. I would like to move into H&S full time and just wanted to shake up my CV to be more H&S orientated.

Thanks for that Bob, I didn't think the "ethical" post warranted a response.
A few people took me up on the offer and as you say, its simply one professional helping another, its not like they can use my qualifications etc. And we get little enough practical support sometimes!
I have added a bit of advise to those who contacted me and it mirrors what you have said. The CV is being used more and more to screen people, the key is the interview when you get to meet someone and (process notwithstanding!) know intuitively if they are the kind of person you want to employ.
Having a properly formatted CV with key information in the right order just enhances your prospect during the screening.
Glad to help Sam.
Kind regards
