Hi all, I am advising on spray painting of refrigerated cabinets (supermarkets, butchers etc) Most of the time the cabinets are removed to our warehouse but on some occassions the business owners ask to have the cleaning and painting done on site.
Has anyone come across this problem with regards to making the site safe from spray mist. When in the warehouse all spray painting is carried out in a spray booth. We have the appropriate RPE and follow good H&S practice.
I would appreciate any advice/ regulations.

Solvent based or water based paint?

Brush application would be more appropriate (and probably much more durable) for on-site use.

Hi Paul, thanks for your interest, I should have pointed out, in my question, solvent based.

Thank Ron, the paint is usually sprayed on using a spray gun.But I take your point, brush application is safer.
