Find out as much as you can about the company in question; and then make sure you are up to speed on what you feel the most relevant H&S areas regarding the company in question might be. Then be confident, if you're asked something you don't know then don't try to blag it, as the interviewer will undoubtedly know the answer. Also try to show your knowledge by providing details of improvements you have implemented in your current and previous employment (if relevant). Also have some questions ready that you would like to ask, these can be based around the job and any research you have done on the company. Finally be on time, smart and confident (good eye contact etc).

Zanshin In addition to Smitch's advice - see if you can download their approach to EHS. If a contractor are they in industry body e.g. UK Contractors Group or ECIA? If so you'll get more flavour from their websites. Also make sure you're up to speed with recent legislative changes - asbestos, RIDDOR + on the ball re proposed changes - Lord Young "Common sense, common safety", Prof Lofsted report and fresh off the press............. http://www.hse.gov.uk/ab...iac/200612/m2-2012-2.pdf

Best of luck with the interview, just been calm and yourself, you can never properly prepair for an interview, as they can ask you anything, if you are already in a safety role then you are prepaired as you should know your stuff, but defo know about the company itself.
