Can anyone point me in the right direction for the testing requirements for winches mounted on recovery trucks in Europe ?

Safety is correct for UK Those countries which are member states will have their own versions. My political geography is not so good these days but are their any countries left in Europe which are not in EU? They could have totally different legislation.

Thats the problem I am facing Puwer was the enactment of Directive 89/391/EEC. This has been supplemented in the UK, for recovery trucks with the Industrial Management scheme PAS 43. I am trying to find a European version of this scheme. I have looked at the TUV websites, googled in English and German and have drawn a blank. Sorry bit of an odd ball !!
