Hello all, This is my first post in this group. I am looking for a credible external consultant to undertake a thorough compliance audit of my site ASAP but not just look at the regs that apply but also compare with applicable British standards for machinery, guarding, furnaces etc. The end result would be a clear report listing the non-compliance areas and a prioritised list off actions we need to undertake i.e. an action plan. Please contact me ASAP via email if you fit this bill and able to carry out this scope of work. Regards, Craig Davies

Hi, you could try the OSHCR consultant website, or your local yellow pages. http://www.oshcr.org/ There are plenty of consultants out there and keen for the work. PH2

Craig -in order for people to determine their 'competence' in this you will need to provide a bit of detail on the organisation size and processes. Nothing too detailed but it might make the difference in knowledge of your industry. Not sure of the forum rules about posting work prospects, but I guess people can pm you directly - but good luck

Could be expenseive - auditing the detail of British Standards. Your auditor will need time to identify which British Standards apply to your machinery. Develop a scope for the audit and understand the identified Standards Develop audit protocols / questionaires for the identified standards. In my experience most audits stick to auditing against legislation and key British Standards that are directly relevant to H&S i.e 18001 etc Do you have this information British Standards already? If not either your or your consultancy might have to buy them - some British Standards aren't cheap!!
