hi guys, i have a quick query that hasnt been solved by reading HSE and various machinery specialists on google. The 'new' machinery directive - what are the significant impacts to the user? (i.e employer who has existing work equipment and/or will purchase new equipment) From my understanding it appears the main impact is to the supplier & manuafcturers but there is little change to PUWER? Simply put (to my understanding) new directive effects supply regs and not PUWER. Any advice? Cheers

You're right, the only change affecting an end user is that when buying machines he should check that the Declaration of Conformity refers to 2006/42/EC rather than 98/37/EC.
