We have a company that we supply small fish to, they then raise them until they are 1 year old on their property although we supply feed. They are then transferred to our sites for ongrowing, this is arranged by us. (Helicopters)
My question is: what do we need to have in place or checks do we need to perform?
Does the Management Regs section 12 apply?
I am trying to come up with information for employers for their contract, in previous years there have been no mention of any H&S issues in contracts.
Thanks in advance.

Massive question, Trevor.
Immediate thoughts are to get 'as appropriate' or 'as per method statements' into the contract and then get cracking on risk assessments which will dictate what the arrangements are and who's responsible for implementing them.
And, quite frankly, 'fish in helicopters' has blown my mind. Thanks

Apart from the obvious observation that the premise/installation needs to be suitable for helicopter approach, your contract should specify safe working conditions for your own employees when delivering/collecting the fish, such as safe and secure access platforms, walkways with guardrails and footrails where appropriate, all working areas adequately illuminated, and evidence of maintained and safe electrics. Your contract may also specify the expected number and competence of the assisting staff from the host premise.
You must also provide information to the hosts on the risks to them of your helicopter activity, your means of communication to them, and the required action to follow in an emergency.
