Fellow IOSHers, At work we have 5 practitioners all with different levels of qualifications and IOSH membership grades, but all in a position where we can or already have embarked on the SPD. We have been discussing the timescales and how long it takes from starting the SPD through to attaining Chartered status..... I would be keen to know what other practitioners experience's have been and how long it roughly took. many thanks Lee

Hi Lee, Entirely depends on how much time you can put into it, and how in depth you want to go! I did 1 hour per day (mon-thurs) on my SDP and from start to finish it was 6 months. Upon reflection (and looking at other examples) I probably could have "got away" with about 30% less content!! However I recieved a good examiners report (above and beyond in the majority of criteron) and therefore didn't have to discuss it during the peer review interview.
