On the 2508 form there is provision to receive a copy if the reporter inserts their email address, my question is, can others be courtesy copied in to the copy report. I have a large site and occassionally dont find out about some incidents until 2-3 weeks have elapsed. I have tried to manage this by asking for copies to be forwarded by the reporter at the time of receipt of the copy report, but that does not always happen SBH

I you mean copied in directly from the HSE website, then I don't believe that you can. Happy to be wrong though.

don't think you can either - agree with canopener. we have sites all over the country and we have an 'accident reporting' email address set up and all the managers email a brief to inform everyone who needs to know including HR, insurance etc - it seems to work.

I also do not think you can. Why not insist everyone puts your email address and then you forward a copy back to them once you get it. You know you will do it, where they may not.

If you need to ensure that RIDDOR reports are centrally managed, then it's best to ensure they are only reported via one centralised internal system?

I agree with Ron We have 30 sites about the country and all our incident reporting is centralised ie it comes to me and I send out the RIDDORS.

Didn't like it but had to centralise our reporting as well. 250 sites, many don't have external internet access and those that do are loosing it. Not left with much choice.
