The disposal of sqibs has always seems suspect at all company I work for.
The usual way of disposal is sending a charge across the sqib with a small battery with the sqib submerged in wet sand. There is nothing to say this is safe or to tell you this is the way to do it. I'm not aware of anything bad happening carrying it out this way...but. NO RA been done. Police approval done and dusted re storage of small amounts.
Anyone got any experience of management of sqibs?
RAs or SSoW available?
I'm sure that end of life must apply in some shape of form?
Any ideas / views before I start trawling!

We used a strongbox vented to atmosphere, built into a building in a secure compound.
The procedure was in a military setting so written and signed off, squibs on their own and attached to fire bottles.
There was something a while ago on one of the forums about the car industry and squibs, relating to 'air' bags and their management.
