Quick question for any DGSA out there...

Does a single load of Class 1.4s have to have labelling?

Can anyone point me in the right direction

Hi stevedm.
I assume that your are referring to labelling the vehicle?

The answer to that would be no.

If you have a look at 1.1.3.6.2 here:
http://www.unece.org/fil...dr2011/English/Part1.pdf

This tells you that you don't have to apply the provisions of 5.3 because 1.4s is listed as "unlimited" in table 1.1.3.6.3.

There is an exemption to put anything on a trailer- or tractor unit- 5.3 here:
http://www.unece.org/fil...dr2011/English/Part5.pdf

Hope this helps

Andy

PS.
The reason I assumed you are asking about labelling vehicles is that in ADR terminology labels are on packages and marks and placards are for vehicles.
