A oxygen copper pipe approx 2 inch diameter is required to run through several compartments - each break into the firewalls will be adequately fire stopped. The question is although the piping will be continuous is there a requirement for some form of dampers?

Hi SBH

There is information on page 23 of the guide regarding the use of dampers for services passing through walls and floors.

ASFP Guide to Inspecting Passive Fire Protection For Fire Risk Assessors

Hope this helps

I have never heard of dampers on an oxygen line (but then I have never heard of a 2 inch oxygen pipe). My concern is not fire working it’s way up the pipe – which is what dampers are meant to stop but the oxygen line feeding the fire. So provision of isolation valves is key.

Ditto.

Some method of automatically shutting off supply when alarm is activated, or manual valves, is in order.
