My job is at Risk after Xmas, so I have applied to agencies, and sent my CV off to them, I have not heard anything back, even though there are pages of jobs advertised.

Sometimes I have the suspicion that some agencies advertise jobs that are not actually there in an attempt to gather CV's. Have you thought of putting your profile on Linkedin?

I think we have established your suspicion is pretty much a fact. Terry, hope you have read Stuie's jobs blogg post - some good advice therein, IMHO.

http://forum.iosh.co.uk/...spx?g=posts&t=106206 also you may gain something from here too? http://forum.iosh.co.uk/...spx?g=posts&t=105677 There are jobs out there Terry but you have to give it all you have got, don't give up, be prepared to travel, as walker suggested try LinkedIn, don't hold much hope out about agencies being the silver bullet - you need to be the silver bullet. PM me if you want any specific advice. Good luck - maybe things will not turn out as bad as you fear (glass half full?) Stuart
