Hello All,
I work for a manufacturing company and I am looking to encourage and promote middle management through in-house developed training. I am thinking either by developing a presentation and using slides as a talking point 'or' just doing it 'off the cuff', mobiles off and lets talk health and safety for an hour. Would anybody out there please be able to help me with two things:
1. A training presentation on managers responsibilities that they could send to me
2. Some really good case law whereby mangers were not 'managing safety' and therefore accountable when an accident has taken place.
Many thanks for taking the time to read through this and I hope to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Kevin

If you want a well-researched pre-prepared structured training option, investing in the IOSH 'Managing Safety' is a good one.

If you want to develop your own well-researched, structured innovative training option, research and present research on organisational self-efficacy and types of problem-solving behaviour (extended, limited and routine).

If you attempt oa 'lets talk health and safety for an hour', without well-defined objectives, you may well be 'cruisin' for a brusin'.

Take care.
