Anyone know what rules (if any) apply to the disposal or sale of an old X Ray generator. This was used in a Mailroom. It does not contain an Ionising Source.

Obviously WEEE regs apply - but are there any special licensing requirements if we were to sell it as a piece of second-hand equipment?

Before you consider selling the equipment as second hand you should seek advice from a RPA who has experience of X ray generators used in this type of equipment.
You say the equipment is old and it may not meet present standards in for interlocks and shielding.
Personally I would never consider selling on any equipment that is capable of generating X rays. I would look into scraping it after taking into account any applicable regulations for the component parts.
