Hi all,

I'm looking for advice/reviews of Lone Working 'Man down' systems - the type which sends a signal/alert when the employee hasnt moved for 'x' number of seconds.

Has anyone on the forum had experience of using this time of system?

Bruce, although not a helpful response, I'd be frightened to go to the bathroom with such a system!

I agree - have a look at the Skyguard system, some of our Wildlife Trusts use them and find them reassuring.

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. I have someone from skyguard phoning me back, also, similar suppliers from Ascom and LoneAlert.

I will post an update for future reference should anyone have similar queries in the future.

Currently dealing with the same issue for our company. I have narrowed it down to two suppliers Professional Witness Group (PWG) & our mobile phone network Orange who run a system called People Safe.
Costs vary, but PWG offer a very bespoke service tailor made to our needs. This includes Man down or Panic button service. Both are run through mobile phones, so as long as there is a signal and battery life in the phone, happy days !
Hoping to get ours up and running Q1 2013 for 80 engineers.
