I am still waiting for verification of my NVQ level 4, started nearly 2 years ago. Now the goal posts have moved, is all this work worthless? I guess I now need NVQ 5.
what is the best way for me to achieve GradIOSH? I am not in a full time post anymore, but a consultant

Contact your NVQ Provider/Assessor. I am sure there must be a transient period for people to finish off the Level 4, if not I think you will find it is all transferable and you may have to do an additional couple of units. May also be worth checking with the Membership Dept that a Level 4 is still acceptable.

Provided you have your evidence as current. OCR (I guess C&G will be similar) have their level 4 qualification expiry date at the end of 2013. Yes it is still acceptable to IOSH for membership. This means you can still work towards the CMIOSH designation, what employers recognise.

NVQ L4 & L5 are very similiar, all you have to do is change the module numbers around
What I am saying is don't dispair you havent wasted your time, upgrade to the level 5 and get your grad status, once done aim for you chartered status
