Very few, unfortunately..

I would say those that work on a search and selection basis (Head Hunters) are really the only "good" recruiters I've ever experienced. They actually seem to take the time to really understand the role and the candidate, and fully prep the candidate.

The ones I have experience with don't even mention "H&S" on their website, they just deal with any professionals. Often they don't advertise these jobs extensively, rather spend their time finding the candidate, so maybe no use to your question!

I've had poor experiences with quite a few of the SHP regulars..

The client of recruitment agencies is the organisation who pays their feeds. As an organisation is legally prohibited from taking fees from jobseekers if they also accept them from employers, its research and other activities are designed to fill vacancies from the perspectives of those offering vacancies.

If you need much help discovering opportunities most suitable for you (or a partner or friend), those organisations or individuals particularly designed to do so are educated, trained and organised for this specific purpose and don't function as recruitment agencies.

When Jake refers to 'very few', he may be right. Yet a c.v. I recevied for comment by a CMIOSH only this morning illustrated how often many, many conscientious, seasoned professionals in many sectors fail to present evidence in clear words, numbers and images about how they create value - and can do so specifically for the organisation they wish to work for.
