“The Offices, Shops and Railway Premises Act 1963 requires employers to register office, shop and wholesale premises with the local authority and factory and workshop premises with the HSE before employees commence work at the premises.” Does this legisation still apply? I was given to understand that this had been repealed by thhe HASAWA74 except for places directly associated with the railways. If it does apply what do i need to do?

I think the requirement was withdrawn more recently than that - but I'm sure it's been withdrawn.

While much of the Act has been repealed, I think the requirement to notify the employment of persons is still extant. Can any one confirm? LB
