I've got 4 years experience in Office Management/Health Centre Management roles which have included a variety of Accident Investigation, H&S Policy, RA elements. As a result I got my NEBOSH General Certificate in Jan 2012. I want to make the move over to H&S full time but not sure how to go about it, a lot of the jobs I'm seeing want consultant types rather than the first H&S role.

Any ideas? I'm thinking of some work experience/shadowing - is finding those opportunities just a case of sending letters to all and sundry?

Thanks in advance

Hi there

I am assuming you have joined IOSH if you can log in with a specific user name?

If that's the case find out where your local branch meets, go to the next few meetings, introduce yourself and let people know you are looking for work experience.

Better meeting other professionals face to face than sending round letters.

Just a thought.
