Just a simple question, would it be considered best practice to have two escape routes out of an excavation. Advise please.

Answer is both yes and no depending on the work. In general I always aimed at two or more.

Depend the longitudinal distance in accordance with excavation regulations locally

Entry/exit every 6 meters.
