In my experience about 2/3 of the Clays receive fatal injuries.

Actually have a look at http://www.hassandlass.org.uk/query/reports.htm and you’ll find reports up until 2002. The following should provide datasets from 1978-2002 - discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/SearchUI/details?Uri=C11522183 – can’t say I’ve looked at these though. Thanks for the replies. Someone I know has been quite badly injured recently by a wayward clay.

You'd need to indentify if it was a commerical shoot or a private shoot.

The CPSA may also have further information. I did shoot clays for many years and have never managed to get myself shot or hit by a clay or debris. I reckon it does happen though.

I frequent the shop of a world championship venue (far too often apparently) and I have had bits of shot clay scudding around my feet in the car park.
