Dear all, I have a pretty comprehensive PUWER policy and assessment framework however I'm looking for an additional checklist for compliance with Machinery Directive that I can use when visiting suppliers of machinery in European countries. Any help appreciated.

Are you a supplier/ or manufacturing machinery and placing it on the 'market' or are you just a user of machinery? EHSRs are aimed at machine designers/manufacturers - so if only a user you shouldn't need to use the ESHRs & checklist - PUWER is ok.

Forgot to add - if visiting suppliers of machinery, why not just ask to see there documents that show compliance with EHSRs. In my experience, just because a European supplier completes and EHSR assessment/checklist - doesn't mean a machine will meet recognised UK standards/practice. So much for a level playing filed for such matters
