Hi everybody!
I work for an woodworking industry and I would like to know which class of people should undergo health surveillance and whether it should be done by a medical Doctor or simply by interviewing employees through questioners? Please help!

I would suggest an occupational nurse
We have since rolled out the nurse to include all employees

Regulation 11 of COSHH should answer your question as to who should be covered.
You will need to consider what exposure conditions will exist in your workplace to decide what health surveillance is required, which could include:
Spirometry (for inhalation exposure)
Audiometry (for noise)
Vibration (HAVS)
Skin (dermatitis, systemic disorders)
Biological monitoring (if using certain chemicals, such as isocyanates)
etc.
How you do this, and who should do it, will depend very much on the size and way in which your organisation is structured.
I would recommend that you get advice from a suitably qualified occupational health practitioner on this.
