Can anyone suggest a particularly good and updated DVD on Manual Handling.

Not the John Burder (ancient dvd)), FPA (useless), Safety Media (poor) or SafetyCare (ChildsPlay) as we have these.

On a recent training programme the delegates were not too enamoured by the standard of the above as evidenced by their feedback on the point.

Anything with Davy Snowdon; best one I've seen. They are usually bespoke, but very practical.

Thanks Paul & Kate- I will check them out.

Having looked at the vintage of DVD's & videos in our library the era extends from (pre 1992 John Burder one) no update. to the FPA one of 1998 vintage. The Safety Care one is also very dated.

Perhaps a DVD on MSD or back injuries might be more appropriate. Any suggestions?

Vocam (again) have one called 'Industrial Ergonomics' that might suit.

Davy Snowdon has a promo on youtube relating to construction, but does give a flavour of his style.

John,

Anything bespoke is ideal but if you are buying 'off the shelf' please consider the case of O'Neill -v- DSG Retail [2002] EWCA Civ 1139.

Regards.

I have used one by Safety Media, very good although generic, but is presented more like a tool box talk giving x ray movement of the body and they are very reasonably priced. I do not work for or have any connection with them with the exception of using the product.
