Has any one any statistics on accidents in general maintenance, particularly mobile workers. It is my belief that many operatives, these days are still not trained in H&S , many do not have (or even know about) CSCS cards. Many of the Supermarkets require SSSTS training at least, yet, many Landlords and managing agents seem not to worry about H&S. I have dealings with some of the larger managing agents yet they seem happy to accept Safecontractor or similar accreditation but have no real understanding of Risk assessments, method statements or the possible consequences.
I would like to study the dangers that this side of construction are open to as I was an operative once, rushing to get to next job with jobs behind and in front of me, materials to get etc and H&S was easily forgotten. They are also driving for a living sometimes with uncontrolled hours.
Many of these operatives work for SME or self employed.
Any comments or statistics would be gratefully received/

HSE statistics not broken down into sufficient detail.
Stats for construction don't even contrast big v small projects.
